A silky cleansing oil of raw cold-pressed plant oils and slow-infused whole plants, created to gently dissolve makeup, sunscreen and the day's impurities while preserving the skin's natural lipid barrier.
Pumpkin Seed, Jojoba, Castor and Blueberry Seed oils are thoughtfully balanced for sensitive skin to lift away daily buildup while leaving the skin feeling soft, supple and beautifully nourished. Our in-house whole-plant infusions bring another layer of botanical richness to this gentle cleansing preparation.
As Elderflower is massaged into the skin, its silky soft texture dissolve excess sebum, makeup and sunscreen, allowing them to be gently lifted away with a warm, damp cloth.
Skin is left beautifully clean, smooth and supple, without the tightness or dryness often associated with cleansing.

My own skin has taught me a great deal about the importance of gentle cleansing. For years, I experienced breakouts and sensitivity, often finding that the very products I was using to care for my skin left it feeling dry or unsettled.
Through my work with oils and whole plants, I became interested in creating a cleanser that could remove the day's impurities while preserving the skin's natural softness.
Elderflower brings together oils chosen not only for their individual fatty acid profiles, but for how they work together during cleansing. Some provide beautiful slip, others help dissolve impurities, and others contribute to the soft, supple finish I wanted to achieve.
The whole-plant infusions are another expression of the way we formulate at Mäesi Apothecary, bringing traditional herbal knowledge into a preparation that is both practical and beautiful to use.
I wanted Elderflower to be a cleanser you look forward to using. A few minutes at the end of the day to wash everything away and begin again.

A gentle beginning to your daily skincare ritual.
Dispense 2–3 pumps of Wildflower into dry hands and gently spread over your dry face and neck. Using slow, gentle movements, massage the cleansing oil across your face and décolleté neck, shoulders and chest), allowing Elderflower to dissolve makeup, sunscreen and the day's impurities. Take a little extra time around areas where makeup and sunscreen tend to collect, keeping the movements soft and unhurried.
Soak a soft face cloth in warm water and gently press it against your skin before sweeping away the cleansing oil and loosened impurities.
Rinse the cloth and repeat as needed, leaving your skin beautifully clean, soft and supple.
While your skin is still slightly damp, follow with Rama Rose Hydrating Elixir and your chosen serum or balm.
As your skin needs

When wearing heavier makeup or water-resistant sunscreen, take a little more time to massage the oil into the skin and repeat the cleansing process if needed.

Elderflower
Elderflowers bloom from late October alongside the tall jarrah trees. Its flowers contain naturally occurring flavonoids and phenolic compounds that offer nourishment from environmental stressors. Elderflower work in harmony with the body’s natural lymphatic pathways, gently reducing puffiness and congestion unveiling a clearer, more vibrant complexion. Elder is also a nervine that can support the whole body in times of stress and anxiety.
Rose
Rose petals contain a diverse range of naturally occurring plant compounds, including polyphenols and aromatic constituents. Its gentle astringent properties balance oil production, tightens the skin and soothe blemish prone skin. Rich in Vitamins C and E, Rose calms redness and irritation while supporting collagen production and smoothing fine lines and unbalanced complexions.
Calendula
Calendula boosts blood and lymphatic circulation to reduce stagnation and deep inflammation. Its bright friendly flowers and oil soluble resins support wound healing and offer a return to balance. Whether your skin is sensitive, dry, oily or recovering from years of harsh cleansers, this potent plant offers skin restoration, supports the skin’s natural rhythms and microbiome.
Blue Cornflower
Blue cornflower contains natural compounds like flavonoids, anthocyanins, and triterpenoids that help calm irritated, red or reactive skin. We love it because it fights free radicals from the environment, supporting skin resilience while softening dry patches of skin and balancing out the complexion.
Hibiscus
Also known as Rosella, grows wild in our gardens from January to May. Rich in vitamin c and antioxidants, as well as anti-inflammatory polyphenols, flavonoids, and minerals such as iron, phosphorus, and magnesium. Hibiscus promotes cellular renewal with its gentle exfoliating properties alongside protecting cells from inflammation and environmental damage. Leaving your skin luminous, balanced, and deeply hydrated.

Pumpkin Seed Oil
Rich in linoleic and oleic fatty acids, Pumpkin Seed Oil brings a beautiful balance of nourishment and softness to Elderflower and nourish the skin at a cellular level, accelerate wound healing, balance out the skin and build the lipid barrier. Its naturally occurring tocopherols and phytosterols contribute to its botanical richness, while its smooth texture makes it a beautiful oil for facial cleansing.
Sweet Almond Oil
Naturally rich in oleic and linoleic fatty acids, Sweet Almond Oil is treasured for its softening and skin-conditioning qualities. Its smooth, silky texture helps dissolve makeup, sunscreen and daily impurities while allowing the cleansing oil to glide effortlessly across the skin. It offers a subtle bounce to the formula as it glides over the skin and leaves the skin feeling beautifully soft and nourished.
Jojoba
Jojoba is composed primarily of long-chain wax esters and has a natural affinity with the skin's surface lipids. Exceptionally stable and beautifully silky, Jojoba helps create a smooth cleansing experience while contributing to the soft, supple feel of the skin after cleansing.
Castor Oil
Castor Oil has a distinctive fatty acid profile, being particularly rich in ricinoleic acid. Its naturally viscous texture gives Elderflower body and helps the oil spread across the skin, allowing makeup, sunscreen and excess sebum to be loosened during massage. We balance Castor with lighter botanical oils to create a cleanser that feels silky and fluid rather than overly thick.
Blueberry Seed Oil
Blueberry Seed Oil brings another layer of lipid nourishment to Wildflower, complementing the richer cleansing oils and contributing to the formula's soft, conditioning character and subtle blueberry scent

Our products are packaged in recyclable violet/amber glass bottles to protect our delicate formula and extend the shelf life. Our castor oil is hexane free.
